In particular, the dazzling waves of cockscomb flowers along the roadside captivated visitors and became a popular spot for social media photos.
Learning from the challenges caused by abnormal weather conditions in the spring, the garden’s management meticulously analyzed weather variables and blooming periods from the early planning stages and thoroughly reviewed the planting strategy for this fall season. Rigorous on-site inspections and systematic management ensured regular monitoring of each species’ growth, while efforts such as soil improvement and drainage enhancement created a solid foundation for the garden. As a result, the garden achieved balanced blooming and a stable landscape, offering visitors a more pleasant and refined viewing experience.
The Goseokjeong Flower Garden has evolved beyond being a simple tourist attraction to become a community-oriented garden that fosters mutual growth with the local area. Booths selling local agricultural products and performances by local artists-operated with the participation of nearby residents-contributed to revitalizing the regional economy. Additionally, Cheorwon County conducted environmental clean-up activities every weekend, when visitor numbers peaked, striving for a “clean flower garden and a Cheorwon people want to revisit,” and establishing a sustainable management system.
