BNK Financial Group Establishes 'Marine Finance Future Strategy Think Lab' to Strengthen Financial Support for Regional Specialized Industries
Leading Marine Finance in Line with the Government's Productive Finance Policy
Official Launch Set for November 3
BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) will sequentially launch research organizations led by external experts in response to the government's AI and digital activation policy and the Financial Services Commission's three major financial policy directions: productive finance, inclusive finance, and trusted finance.
As the first step, BNK will establish the 'Marine Finance Future Strategy Think Lab' within Busan Bank to lead the region's specialized marine finance industry, and will hold its official launch ceremony on November 3.
This Think Lab was formed to respond to the growing financial demand in the marine industry following the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan, and to systematically develop financial strategies to realize the vision of 'Marine Capital Busan.'
Through this initiative, BNK Financial Group aims to design the future ecosystem of the marine industry and regional finance, discover new growth engines related to the marine sector, and contribute to balanced regional development and the enhancement of national competitiveness in the marine industry.
The Think Lab will be composed of external experts in marine economy, finance, and industrial policy, as well as working-level staff from Busan Bank, and will operate until March 2026. The lab plans to hold regular monthly meetings and ad-hoc sessions to engage in in-depth discussions on issues related to marine finance and associated industries.
In particular, the Think Lab aims to propose strategic business initiatives and implementation plans linked to the marine industry cluster, based on analyses of financial demand arising from changes in marine-related policies. The research findings will be reflected in the group's mid- to long-term management strategies and plans for promoting regionally specialized financial services.
