People Power Party Files Bribery Complaint Against Choi Minhee Over Child's Wedding Congratulatory Money Controversy
The People Power Party has filed a police complaint against Choi Minhee, Chairperson of the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, on bribery charges related to the controversy over congratulatory money received at her child's wedding.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the People Power Party reported Chairperson Choi to the police on the 15th on suspicion of bribery.
Chairperson Choi is accused of receiving a total of 8 million won in bribes, with 1 million won each from eight individuals: four unidentified executives of large corporations, three executives of terrestrial broadcasters, and one company CEO, under the pretext of her child's wedding.

Previously, Chairperson Choi was embroiled in controversy after media cameras captured her sending a list of congratulatory money recipients to her aides via Telegram.
