Police Conduct Search and Seizure at Yongsan District Office Over Alleged Misconduct by Park Heeyoung’s Associate
The police, who are investigating allegations of misconduct involving close associates of Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan District in Seoul, have conducted a search and seizure at the Yongsan District Office.
On October 28, the Anti-Corruption Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it had carried out a search and seizure at the Yongsan District Office building the previous afternoon.
The police reportedly secured records of document transmissions and receipts from the Yongsan District Office's Smart Information Division and other departments for the previous year.
This search and seizure is known to be related to allegations of misconduct involving Mr. A, a close associate of Mayor Park.
Mr. A previously worked as the Chief of Policy in the Mayor's Office and is currently serving as a department head.
