Beyond Korea to Overseas... Woori Investment & Securities Builds Comprehensive Investment Infrastructure in Just One Year
Zero Online Trading Fees for US Stocks
Up to 1 Million KRW Reward for First Domestic Stock Trade
Woori Investment & Securities has taken a significant step toward becoming a comprehensive investment platform that spans both domestic and international markets, following the successful launch of its domestic stock services in the first half of this year and the introduction of its overseas stock trading services in the second half. The upgraded 'WooriWON MTS' connects major domestic and international markets on a single platform and provides AI-based investment information content, greatly enhancing both convenience and accessibility for investors.
The newly released New 'WooriWON MTS' incorporates AI technology to analyze a vast amount of global investment ideas daily, allowing users to easily grasp key insights at a glance. By integrating with the global investor community 'StockTwits,' investors can conveniently access real-time outlooks on the rise and fall of major stocks mentioned by the community, as well as information on promising overseas stocks that are not widely known in Korea.
Additionally, the platform has expanded its AI-powered content to strengthen investment insights, such as 'Insider Disclosure Breaking News,' which allows users to check stock transactions and rights exercises by insiders and major shareholders of US-listed companies, and 'US Retail Investors’ Market Sentiment Through ETFs,' which provides a read on local investment sentiment over the past 24 hours.
To celebrate the completion of its integrated platform, Woori Investment & Securities has prepared practical benefit opportunities so that customers can begin their investment journey under more favorable conditions.
First, customers holding a Woori Investment & Securities stock account can enjoy discounted domestic stock trading fees until December 30, and a full waiver of online trading fees for US stocks until December 31. A 100% preferential exchange rate is also applied to dollar exchanges, minimizing the cost burden for overseas stock trading.
Separately, an event for domestic investors is also underway. Until November 14, customers who open a stock account for the first time through the new 'WooriWON MTS,' or existing customers with no prior domestic stock trading history, will be eligible to receive rewards.
Customers who meet the event conditions and trade domestic stocks during the event period will receive payback rewards based on their transaction amount: 10,000 KRW for transactions of 1 million KRW or more; 30,000 KRW for 10 million KRW or more; 50,000 KRW for 100 million KRW or more; 300,000 KRW for 1 billion KRW or more; and up to 1 million KRW for 10 billion KRW or more. However, customers eligible for the 300,000 KRW and 1 million KRW rewards must also meet the requirement of depositing at least 100 million KRW in domestic stocks.
A representative from Woori Investment & Securities commented, "This year has been meaningful as we launched both domestic and overseas stock services, connecting our customers’ investment journeys into one," adding, "We will continue to develop the most user-friendly and convenient investment platform from the customer’s perspective."
The new 'WooriWON MTS' can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and detailed inquiries about the service can be addressed through the Woori Investment & Securities customer center.
