'US Trip' Kim Dongyeon: "KOSPI Surpasses 4,000... I Will Return with Major Achievements"
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon, currently on a business trip to the United States, celebrated the news of the KOSPI surpassing 4,000 points and promised to return home with achievements from his trip to the US.
On the 27th, Governor Kim wrote on his social networking service (SNS), "While on a business trip to the United States, I heard the news that the KOSPI surpassed 4,000 points," adding, "This is a remarkable achievement, following the breakthrough of 2,000 points during President Roh Moo-hyun's administration and 3,000 points during President Moon Jae-in's administration."
He continued, "We must continue to pursue 'enhancement of shareholder value' and 'improvement of corporate governance' in a consistent and sustained manner," and emphasized, "We need to pave the way for this through the third amendment to the Commercial Act."
He added, "When that happens, a full-fledged money move will occur, and we can accelerate the arrival of the era of 5,000 points. For KOSDAQ as well, not only 2,000 points but even 3,000 points are fully achievable."
He also stated, "I will work even harder and return from this business trip to the United States with meaningful achievements that will benefit our economy."
