KEPCO-Led Consortium Wins Wind Power Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
According to a report by the Saudi state-run SPA news agency on October 27 (local time), a consortium including Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) has won a contract for a renewable energy project in Saudi Arabia.
According to SPA, the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has awarded five new wind and solar projects with a total generation capacity of 4,500 MW and an investment of 9 billion riyals (approximately 3.5376 trillion won).
Among these, the Dawadmi wind power project in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with a capacity of 1,500 MW, was awarded to a consortium that includes KEPCO and the Saudi renewable energy company Nesma.

The remaining projects were each awarded to Masdar of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Electricite de France (EDF), and the French company TotalEnergies.
