According to Yonhap News Agency and the Incheon Fire Headquarters on October 27, the person who posted the unreasonable message, "Please let there be two cardiac arrests at nursing homes," on a personal Instagram account last month was confirmed to be Mr. A, a temporary substitute worker for a paramedic at a 119 Safety Center under the Namdong Fire Station.
The photo showed three people in fire department uniforms sitting in the paramedic center office, accompanied by the message, "Please let us be dispatched to more than 15 cases today. Please let there be two cardiac arrests at nursing homes. Please let there be one childbirth in a subway restroom. All the gods in heaven, I ask for your help."
According to the investigation, Mr. A stated, "There was no malicious intent. I wrote the post in the office and uploaded it as a joke." It was also reported that after the incident became public, Mr. A felt burdened and had taken leave until recently.
The fire authorities, who received a complaint through the National Petition System, judged that the incident had damaged the organization's image and provided Mr. A with special training, including SNS ethics guidelines. However, considering his usual work attitude and relationships with colleagues, they did not impose any disciplinary action.
