This year's rice harvest season has faced some difficulties due to frequent rainfall, which has caused disruptions in farming activities and made harvesting more challenging. In response, Hamyang County and Hamyang Agricultural Cooperative plan to extend the procurement period for certain farms to ensure that farmers do not encounter difficulties in delivering their rice.
The total amount to be purchased is 4,329 tons (2,598 tons of dried rice, 899 tons of freshly harvested paddy rice, and 832 tons of rice for flour). The varieties to be purchased are Joyoung and Samgwang. An interim payment of 40,000 won per 40 kilograms will be provided first, and the final settlement will be made in December, reflecting the rice price during the harvest season (October to December), once the price is finalized.
