View original imageThe event was attended by more than 100 alumni, including Hallym University President Choi Yanghee, Lee Jaejoon, Director of Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, Kim Jeungim, President of the Korean Society of Nursing Science, and Son Eunjin, President of the Alumni Association.
Hallym University College of Nursing began in 1939 as the Nursing Department Training Institute attached to Gangwon Provincial Chuncheon Hospital. In 1995, it welcomed its first class of 80 students as the Department of Nursing at Hallym University, laying the foundation for a new leap forward and continuing its legacy as a cradle of nursing professionals in Korea.
This forum was a meaningful occasion where Hallym University graduates took the stage as speakers to share the knowledge and experience they have gained in their respective fields, reflecting on the past and present of nursing and envisioning its future together. The event proceeded in the following order: opening and congratulatory remarks, special lectures, the journey of Hallym alumni, panel discussion, awards for distinguished Hallym nurses, commemorative photo session, campus tour, and dinner.
In particular, Professor Jeong Geumhee of the College of Nursing delivered a lecture on "The Footsteps and Vision of Hallym Nursing: Looking Back and Moving Forward," and Vice President Park Joonsik gave a special lecture on "The Advent of a Super-Aged Society and the Future of Nursing Services."
