GH to Hold "Youth Build-Up Startup Contest" ... Applications Open January 12-23 Next Year
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) is holding a startup contest.
On October 24, GH announced that it will host a "Startup Contest" under the theme "Youth Ideas, Building Up Gyeonggi Province's Future!" to discover innovative startup ideas from young people.
This contest is open to all industries. Eligible participants are young people between the ages of 19 and 39 who meet at least one of the following criteria: currently enrolled or on leave from a university (including graduate school) located in Gyeonggi Province; early-stage entrepreneurs or employees of early-stage startups founded in Gyeonggi Province; or individuals with resident registration in Gyeonggi Province.
GH will also offer various support programs in connection with this contest, including opportunities to move into startup-specialized housing.

View original imagePreviously, GH has been working to establish startup-specialized housing in Gwonsun-dong, Suwon City, as a mixed residential model. Based on affordable rent, this facility will provide a wide range of support such as employment and startup assistance, acceleration, marketing, and certification training. The startup-specialized housing will consist of 210 rental units and four shared office spaces, with move-in scheduled for the second half of next year.
GH plans to provide the contest-winning companies with a variety of growth support programs free of charge.
Applications will be accepted from January 12 to January 23, 2026, and the awards ceremony will be held in March.

GH President Kim Yongjin said, "This contest will be a valuable opportunity for young people to turn their ideas into actual startups," adding, "GH will continue to support the revitalization of youth entrepreneurship going forward."
