From Fresh Oysters to Dalma Shrimp... Emart Offers Up to 50% Off on Seasonal Seafood
Bagged Oysters (250g) for 4,990 Won
Seasonal Dalma Shrimp Sashimi (100g) for 7,984 Won
30% Off Domestic Raw Shrimp and Assorted Sashimi
Emart announced on the 24th that it will hold a promotion offering up to 50% off on seasonal seafood, coinciding with the arrival of chilly weather.
First, until the 29th, bagged oysters (250g) will be available at a 30% discount for Shinsaegae Point members, with an additional 20% off when using a promotional card, bringing the price down from the regular 9,980 won to half price at 4,990 won. The product is also available through the SSG.com Emart Mall.
Emart explained that this event was prepared in consideration of the fact that the end of this month marks the peak season for fresh oysters and that demand for oysters rises during kimchi-making season. The company expects oyster production this year to increase by about 20% compared to last year.
Accordingly, Emart has prepared a supply of 33 tons for this event, a 10% increase from last year. The bagged oysters featured in the promotion are true oysters cultivated in the natural marine environments of Tongyeong, Geoje, and Goseong along the southern coast. True oysters are mass-produced through aquaculture and are the most widely consumed variety.
Seasonal Dalma shrimp are also included in the promotion. Domestic Dalma shrimp sashimi (100g) will be sold at 7,984 won, a 20% discount from the regular price of 9,980 won for Shinsaegae Point members. The peak season for Dalma shrimp is from October to December.
In addition, domestic raw shrimp (100g) and assorted sashimi (flatfish, red sea bream, salmon, 360g) will be offered at 2,730 won and 27,986 won, respectively, after a 30% discount from the regular prices of 3,900 won and 39,980 won for Shinsaegae Point members.
