The “Medical Supplies Kit Delivery Ceremony for Young Adults Preparing for Independence” was held that day at the Good Neighbors Integrated Support Center for the Socially Disadvantaged, with Lim Yangjin, Head of Management Support Division at Gwangju Bank, and Bae Junyeol, Head of the Good Neighbors Integrated Support Center for the Socially Disadvantaged, in attendance.
This year, Gwangju Bank has not only provided medical supply kits to young adults preparing for independence, but has also carried out a range of health support initiatives, including emergency medical expense assistance, vaccinations, and psychological therapy. Through these efforts, the bank aims to ensure that young adults transitioning out of care can secure their basic right to health and minimize the difficulties they may face during the process of becoming independent.
Furthermore, the bank has operated a variety of programs beyond the medical field, such as support for monthly rent and utility bills, assistance with obtaining certifications, provision of financial education, and cultural experiences in theater and musicals with Gwangju Bank employees as mentors. These initiatives are designed to strengthen the young adults’ employability, provide emotional stability, and help them establish a solid foundation for independent living.
Lim Yangjin, Head of Management Support Division at Gwangju Bank, stated, “We are supporting young adults preparing for independence in various ways so that they can safeguard their health and pursue their dreams, especially those who are in urgent need of social support. Going forward, we will continue to serve as a reliable companion for young adults and engage in social contribution activities that foster mutual growth with the local community.”
