He explained that he became disillusioned with the political world, as he would always step up to help whenever asked, but after the elections were over, politicians would pretend not to know him.
On the 21st, Kim Heungguk appeared on YTN Radio's "Kim Junwoo's One Shot Match" and shared his reason for returning to the entertainment industry, saying, "I decided that it was right for me to go back to my original profession." He also expressed his disappointment, stating, "They only contact me when they need something, and once it's over, regardless of the result, no one looks for me or reaches out. It's worse than being treated like a dog."
Kim Heungguk recalled, "The late Lee Juyeol once said, 'Politics is just comedy.' I have helped many entertainers when the political world asked for support." He lamented, "Shouldn't they at least consider which entertainers have helped the most, or which ones are politically compatible, and give them proportional representation or a constituency accordingly?"
