Sunmoon University Leads Educational Innovation with 'S-CEA Course Certification System'
Classes Focused on Core Competencies Demanded by Society
Enhancing the Quality of Teaching and Learning, and Strengthening Student Competencies
Sunmoon University is systematically managing the quality of its curriculum and driving innovation in teaching and learning through its self-developed 'S-CEA (Sunmoon Course Embedded Assessment) Certification System'.
On October 21, Sunmoon University announced that it is expanding the operation of the 'S-CEA (Sunmoon-Course Embedded Assessment)' certification system to strengthen competency-based education focused on core skills required by a changing society.
In the first semester of this year, 36 courses participated in the certification, and this number increased to 47 in the second semester. Notably, 28 new courses were newly included, further reinforcing the spread and substance of the system.
The S-CEA certification system is designed to systematically manage the quality of classes by reflecting the competencies required by society in course design and providing guidelines that align with teaching and learning policies. Students can develop practical competencies, while instructors can enhance the effectiveness of their classes.
At the 'S-CEA Course Certification Teaching Method Seminar' held on October 1, a practice-oriented program was conducted, allowing participating faculty to directly experience course design and evaluation methods and share best practices.
The Curriculum Innovation Center plans to improve the program by reflecting the results of the seminar and will continue to strengthen faculty competencies through future special lectures on best practices.
