Sejong City Expands Free Influenza Vaccinations to Children, Pregnant Women, and Seniors
From October 22
Free Vaccinations for Those Aged 60 and Over, Basic Livelihood Security Recipients, and Lower-Income Groups
Starting from October 22, Sejong City will provide free influenza (flu) vaccinations to high-risk groups, including immunocompromised residents.
This free vaccination program follows the ongoing vaccinations for children and pregnant women that began last month, as well as the national vaccination program for seniors that started on October 15. It is specifically aimed at immunocompromised individuals.
The eligible recipients for free vaccination are residents of Sejong City who are between 60 and 64 years old, people with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, national merit recipients, and those with chronic diseases (excluding simple hypertension). Starting this year, individuals in the lower-income bracket are also included as eligible recipients. Vaccinations can be received at designated medical institutions and public health centers within the city, but national merit recipients and those with chronic diseases can only receive vaccinations at public health centers.
Designated medical institutions for vaccination can be checked on the Sejong City Public Health Center website or through the Vaccination Helper service. When getting vaccinated, recipients must bring identification and supporting documents to prove eligibility. For more detailed information regarding the free national influenza vaccination program, please contact the public health center.
