View original imageThe Department of Computer Engineering at Honam University announced on the 21st that it participated in the "Global AI Conference (AICON) Gwangju 2025," held from October 15 to 17 at the Kim Daejung Convention Center in Gwangju, where students experienced the latest technologies and global trends in the artificial intelligence industry firsthand.
This field trip was part of the "Gwangju-Style Local Customization Youth Innovation Talent Development Project," a unit project under the Honam University RISE Project Group's SKILL UP Talent Initiative. During the visit, students toured the exhibition hall, observed technology demonstrations, and engaged in Q&A sessions with experts at AI company booths, gaining hands-on, industry-focused knowledge.
"AICON 2025" is a large-scale artificial intelligence conference featuring major domestic and international AI companies and research institutes. The event showcased a variety of innovative technologies, including AI robots, autonomous driving, generative AI, and industrial edge computing.
Oh Myunghoon, Chair of the Department of Computer Engineering, stated, "This field trip was a meaningful opportunity for students to directly experience global-level AI technology trends and to sense the future of the local AI industry, in line with the Gwangju-style RISE Project's goal of cultivating industry-demand-driven talent."
