Hwaseong City to Offer Free Vehicle Safety Inspections for the Socially Disadvantaged
To Be Held at Starfield Market Dongtan Parking Lot on October 26
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a free vehicle safety inspection event for socially disadvantaged groups in the eastern and Dongtan areas on October 26 at the parking lot of Starfield Market Dongtan Branch.
This event, which has been held annually since 2005, is organized by the Hwaseong City Eastern Branch of the Gyeonggi-do Automobile Maintenance Business Association (KAFOS) and is supported by Hwaseong City and the Hwaseong City Volunteer Center.
The eligible recipients for the inspection include registered persons with disabilities in the area, volunteers with over 100 hours of service, national merit recipients, and vehicles belonging to social welfare facilities. Those wishing to participate should bring their disability card, ID card, volunteer card, or vehicle registration certificate and register on-site by 3:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
The free safety inspection includes: ▲ free replacement of wipers, antibacterial filters, and spark plugs ▲ free replenishment of washer fluid, coolant, and engine oil ▲ inspection of alternator and starter motor conditions, among others.

Lee Ilro, Head of Vehicle Registration at Hwaseong City, said, "We organized this event to provide at least some assistance to the disadvantaged and marginalized groups," adding, "We hope that this inspection will help everyone operate their vehicles more safely."
