View original imageThe Democratic Party Gwangju Innovation Council announced on October 17 that it recently held a co-representative meeting and appointed Kim Younggwang, Permanent Representative of Gwangju-Jeonnam Citizens' Action, as its Permanent Representative. This appointment was carried out in accordance with the bylaws, through an internal election among the co-representatives.
Five co-representatives attended the meeting that day: Kim Younggwang, Park Jungha, Song Yeongeun, Lim Junho, and Ha Sangyong. During the meeting, Kim Younggwang was elected as Permanent Representative, while Park Jungha was elected as Executive Committee Chair.
As a member of the Central Steering Committee, Permanent Representative Kim is expected to play a key role in conveying local voices to the central level and strengthening the organic connection between the region and the central organization.

Meanwhile, Permanent Representative Kim currently serves as Permanent Representative of Gwangju-Jeonnam Citizens' Action, Co-Representative of the Citizens for Correct History Coalition, Executive Director of the Jang Martyrs Memorial Association, and Deputy Director of the April 19 Cultural Center. He has also served as Executive Committee Chair of the Gwangju Citizens' Movement Headquarters for Park Geun-hye’s Resignation, founding Executive Committee Chair of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Democracy Movement Comrades Association, Principal of the Urban True People School, and Executive Committee Chair of the Korea Youth Film Festival.
