The Excellent Korean Trademark Selection Competition is an event organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Institute of the Korean Language. Since 2016, it has been held annually to encourage the application and use of pure Korean trademarks. Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the competition brought together representatives from the National Institute of the Korean Language, academia, and branding experts to jointly evaluate trademarks based on their adherence to Korean language norms, originality, and comprehensibility.
