Promoting Expanded Exchange and Cooperation Between Korean and U.S. Universities

Namseoul University announced on the 17th that Joseph Hopkins, president of Campbellsville University in the United States, and Peter Thomas, vice president, visited to share educational philosophies and discuss international exchange and cooperation plans between the two universities.

This meeting was arranged based on the common ground that both universities are private institutions founded on Christian principles, with the aim of jointly exploring a global Christian education model that integrates faith, academics, and culture.

The delegation's schedule included a meeting with President Yoon, a campus tour, and attendance at a chapel service. During the chapel service, following a performance by Namseoul University's staff choir "Veritas," President Joseph Hopkins delivered a special greeting and solo performance prepared specifically for this visit.

After the service, President Joseph Hopkins stated, "The chapel at Namseoul University was more than a formal worship service; it was a vibrant gathering where all members sang and participated together. Through this service, I could clearly understand why Namseoul University is called a 'living Christian university.'"

He added, "Starting this year, I have assumed the presidency of CGE, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities in the United States. Taking this visit as an opportunity, I will actively promote a partnership with Namseoul University at the CGE level as well."
