Gachon University Signs Agreement with Korea IT Women Entrepreneurs Association to Foster Female Talent
On October 15, Gachon University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea IT Women Entrepreneurs Association (KIBWA) in the medium conference room of the Gachon Building to foster female talent in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT), and to strengthen the competitiveness of women-led enterprises.
This agreement marks the first case in which a domestic university is establishing a specialized educational system for female entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Korea IT Women Entrepreneurs Association. The two institutions will share their personnel, knowledge, and facility resources to support the practical growth of female entrepreneurs and to establish a cooperative framework for building a digital-based startup ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in a wide range of areas, including: jointly operating entrepreneurship education programs for women; strengthening AI and digital-based startup capabilities; discovering and supporting prospective female entrepreneurs in business development; building a women’s startup network and operating mentoring programs; and making policy recommendations and improving systems for female entrepreneurship.
