BNK Financial Group Begins Process to Appoint Next Chairman
The process to appoint the next chairman of BNK Financial Group is now officially underway.
The Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee of BNK Financial Group Holdings announced on October 13 that it will accept applications from the standing pool of candidates for the next chairman and CEO of BNK Financial Group Holdings until October 15.
The standing candidate pool consists of both internal and external candidates. Internal candidates include Bin Daein, the current chairman of BNK Financial Group Holdings, Bang Seongbin, president of Busan Bank, Kim Taehan, president of Kyongnam Bank, as well as other key executives from major affiliates. External candidates are comprised of former executives from BNK Financial Group and executives from other financial institutions, carefully selected by two external recommendation agencies.
The Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee regularly selects and manages this pool of candidates. At a meeting held on October 1, the committee decided to initiate the selection process for the next chairman and began notifying the standing candidates of the related details starting October 2.

The final candidate will be appointed as chairman and CEO following a recommendation by the committee, a resolution by the board of directors, and approval at the regular general shareholders' meeting scheduled for March next year.
