Cheorwon County to Hold 2026 Major Policy Project Briefing, Focusing on Tangible Outcomes for Residents
Presenting the Direction for County Administration in 2026
Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province, will hold the "2026 County Administration Major Policy Project Briefing" in the county office situation room for four days from October 13 to 16, 2025.
This briefing has been organized to comprehensively review the achievements of the second half of the 8th popularly elected county administration, forecast internal and external conditions for 2026, and set the future direction of county governance.
The briefing will be presided over by Cheorwon County Governor Lee Hyeonjong, with senior officials at the team leader level and above in attendance. Each department will report and discuss major current issues and new policy projects.
Each department plans to propose new projects to be pursued in 2026, as well as policy tasks that residents can directly feel, and will engage in in-depth discussions on pending issues that require interdepartmental collaboration.
In particular, this briefing will focus on further enhancing the completeness of core projects from the 8th popularly elected administration and identifying new policies suited to local conditions, thereby establishing a foundation for the sustainable advancement of county administration.
Governor Lee Hyeonjong stated, "This briefing is an important process to concretize the blueprint for county administration in 2026," and requested, "Please pool all your capabilities to achieve outcomes that residents can truly feel and to help Cheorwon take another leap forward."
