Youngone Corporation announced on the 13th that it became the first Korean company to win an award at the '2025 Women Corporate Directors (WCD) Visionary Awards', which was held in Chicago, USA, on the 6th (local time).
At this awards ceremony, Youngone Corporation was selected in the 'Emerging Leadership' category, being recognized for its achievements in promoting diversity and inclusion within the company.

View original imageAccording to the company, as of its Korean headquarters, approximately 70% of Youngone Corporation's employees are women, and about 60% of its managers (department head level and above) are women. The company also explained that the average length of service for female employees is about one year and six months longer than that of male employees.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, WCD is a global non-profit organization with about 3,700 female board members active worldwide. Through the 'Visionary Awards', it has recognized companies and leaders who have contributed to outstanding governance, financial performance, and the realization of diversity. Past recipients include Moncler and Shiseido.
Sung Ki-hak, chairman of Youngone Corporation, said in his acceptance speech, "I am truly delighted to receive this award on behalf of Youngone Corporation at such a prestigious ceremony," and added, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the many female employees who have dedicated themselves to the company's continuous growth and development."

He continued, "Providing equal opportunities to women has ultimately led to greater achievements for the company," and added, "I hope that, going forward, we will see a society where women are respected equally as men."
