Busan Office of Education Launches 'Elementary Class Sharing Relay'... Spreading Instructional Innovation Through Voluntary Teacher Participation
Sharing Future-Oriented Classes Utilizing AI and Digital Tools
Over 670 Teachers to Participate
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will operate the '2025 Second Semester Elementary Class Sharing Relay' for elementary school teachers who wish to participate, from October 15 to November 28.
The 'Class Sharing Relay' is a participatory training program where teachers voluntarily open their classes, share the intentions behind their lesson design and implementation process, and reflect together.
The aim is to enhance teachers' instructional expertise and to spread a collaborative learning culture within schools.
After observing classes, teachers will engage in 'Class Talk' sessions, exchanging opinions and sharing best practices with colleagues on a variety of topics, including strategies for generating questions, ways to activate student participation, and the use of AI and digital tools.
In the second semester of this year, 72 teachers will open their classes across various subjects and grade levels, and approximately 670 teachers are expected to attend as observers. This marks a significant expansion compared to the first semester, when 26 teachers opened their classes, and is expected to create an even richer environment for sharing.
This relay will focus on sharing student-centered class examples, such as question-based lessons, project-based lessons, and interdisciplinary lessons. Additionally, the integration of AI and digital technology into classroom practice is expected to further enhance teachers' professional capabilities for future-oriented education.
