Gwangju Korean Village Draws 1.9 Million Visitors During Chuseok Holiday
Increase in Both Website Traffic and On-site Visits
During the Chuseok holiday period, the official website of Gwangju Korean Village recorded over 1.9 million visitors. The number of people visiting the village in person also increased significantly.

View original imageOn October 12, Korean Village announced that from October 3 to October 11, the cumulative number of visitors to its official website reached approximately 1.9 million. Starting with 164,000 visitors on the first day of the holiday, October 3, the site saw an average of more than 180,000 visitors per day, surpassing 190,000 from October 6 onward. On October 9, the website reached a peak of 200,000 visitors.
Korean Village is a community established by the descendants of Koreans who were forcibly relocated to Central Asia by Stalin in 1937 and later returned to their homeland. Currently, the village operates more than 40 institutions, including the Korean Cultural Center, Moon Viktor Art Museum, medical clinic, general support center, specialized streets, Hong Beomdo Park, children's choir, and orchestra, to support settlement and promote cultural activities.
The village's official website serves as a digital archive documenting the history and lives of Korean compatriots, and during this holiday period, it attracted significant attention from both domestic and international users.
