All departments will independently carry out risk assessments for their respective workplaces (offices, sites with on-site workers, and 777 subcontracted or consigned project sites) with worker participation. In addition, 26 sites related to environmental maintenance work such as sewage and waste disposal, packaging work, and 30 sites for mowing and pruning operations in towns and villages will undergo focused assessments by safety management and health management personnel from the Serious Accident Prevention Team and safety specialists from professional agencies.
In particular, at the beginning of this year, the city received expert consulting to emphasize the importance of ensuring safety and health in subcontracted projects to all employees. Based on this, Yangju City plans to conduct more detailed and field-oriented risk assessments for subcontracted projects than before, aiming for tangible improvements.
Once the risk assessments are completed at the end of November, the results will be shared with all workers at the project sites, and measures to reduce risks will be developed.
Meanwhile, on October 1, advance training on risk assessment was provided at the Gyeonggi Textile Support Center for approximately 140 people, including supervisors, department administrators, and subcontract project managers, who are responsible for leading the risk assessment process. The training was conducted by safety managers and instructors from professional agencies.

Moon Eun-kyung, Director of the Citizen Safety Division, stated, "Workers who perform the tasks themselves are best positioned to identify workplace hazards, and once these hazards are found, solutions can naturally be developed. We will do our utmost to ensure that all workers can participate in the risk assessment process, creating a safer working environment."
