BNK Kyongnam Bank Donates 1,500kg of Rice to Masanhwoe Senior Welfare Center
Delivered to Senior Dining Hall for Chuseok
Used to Provide Free Meals for Vulnerable Elderly Residents in the Community
On October 2, BNK Kyongnam Bank announced that, in celebration of Chuseok, Korea’s major traditional holiday, it donated 1,500 kilograms of rice to the senior dining hall at the Masanhwoe Senior Welfare Center.
The rice donation ceremony, held at the Masanhwoe Senior Welfare Center, was attended by Heo Jonggu, Deputy President of BNK Kyongnam Bank; Han Cheolsoo, President of the Masan Love Association; Jeong Youngno, President of the Sponsorship Board; Hwang Jeombok, Changwon City Council member; Je Jongnam, Mayor of Masanhwoe District; and Jeong Eungseok, Director of the Masanhwoe Senior Welfare Center.
The 1,500 kilograms of rice donated by BNK Kyongnam Bank will be delivered to the senior dining hall at the Masanhwoe Senior Welfare Center and used to provide free meals to vulnerable elderly residents in the community.
Heo Jonggu, Deputy President of the Central Business Group, stated, "We decided to donate rice to support a healthy retirement life for local seniors. I hope everyone enjoys a warm and affectionate Chuseok. We will continue to carry out social contribution activities to spread warmth throughout the local community."
Meanwhile, on September 29, BNK Kyongnam Bank donated traditional market gift certificates worth 100 million won to Changwon City, which were distributed to 2,000 vulnerable households in the region.

In addition, the bank carried out the "2025 Chuseok Love Sharing Event," providing traditional market gift certificates and rice worth 481 million won to 9,720 vulnerable households recommended by cities and counties in Gyeongnam Province and Ulsan Metropolitan City, including Changwon City.
