To this end, on September 30, Sokcho City signed a business agreement with Sinheungsa Temple, Sokcho Police Station, Seoraksan National Park Office, and Sokcho Model Drivers Association to promote special traffic measures for the autumn foliage season through the division of roles among the organizations. These measures will remain in effect until November 8.
Sokcho City will provide real-time traffic information through large electronic display boards at four key locations, including Mokujae Samgeori and Seorakgyo Bridge, and will strengthen enforcement against illegal parking and stopping.
The Sokcho Police Station will deploy officers to restrict traffic and manage accidents along Seoraksan-ro, and, together with the Model Drivers Association, will guide vehicles to disperse traffic. Sinheungsa Temple will manage the small park parking lot, oversee bus turnaround operations, and direct vehicles to wait at the C District parking lot. The National Park Office will operate free shuttle buses and accessible vans for those with mobility challenges from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends in the event of traffic congestion.
