Guri City Expresses Gratitude for Dedication, Provides Holiday Consolation Payments to National Veterans and Bereaved Families

Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on October 1 that, in celebration of Chuseok, the largest traditional holiday, it will provide a special Chuseok consolation payment of 100,000 won on October 2 to national veterans and their bereaved families in gratitude for their dedication to the country.
Every year, Guri City provides holiday consolation payments to national veterans twice a year, during Seollal and Chuseok. This year, the payments will be made to a total of 1,925 recipients, amounting to approximately 192.5 million won.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "Today's Republic of Korea exists thanks to the sacrifice and dedication of our national patriots," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering attention and support to enhance the welfare and honor of national veterans."
