From 4.55 to 1 Last Year to 5.5 to 1 This Year: A Significant Jump
Department of Physical Therapy Specialized High School Track: 132 to 1
Gyeongnam College of Information & Technology recorded a competition rate of 5.5 to 1 for the first round of early admissions for the 2026 academic year, which closed on September 30, 2025.
The university proudly stated, "This is a significant increase compared to last year's competition rate of 4.55 to 1."
Gyeongnam College of Information & Technology received 8,927 applications for 1,635 spots within the quota, and 1,451 applications for spots outside the quota, totaling 10,378 applicants.
The department with the highest competition rate was the Department of Physical Therapy, where 264 students competed for 2 spots in the specialized high school special admission track, resulting in a rate of 132 to 1. This was followed by the K-Beauty Stylist Department’s general high school special admission at 47.5 to 1, the Department of Nursing’s specialized high school special admission at 25.4 to 1, the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science’s general high school special admission at 13 to 1, and the Department of Electrical Engineering’s general high school special admission at 11.4 to 1.
