Korea Exchange Provides Chuseok Health Meals and Gifts to Seniors Living Alone
On September 30, the Korea Exchange held a volunteer event at the Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, where executives and employees provided Chuseok health meals and holiday gifts to 187 seniors from vulnerable groups, including those living alone.
In celebration of the traditional Chuseok holiday, executives and employees personally served nutritious dishes such as braised pork and octopus soup to seniors from vulnerable groups, including those living alone, and also delivered Chuseok gifts such as red ginseng and songpyeon rice cakes.
The Korea Exchange has been carrying out a variety of welfare programs for seniors in vulnerable groups in Seoul and Busan every year, including not only food support but also home environment improvements for homebound seniors and sponsorship of table tennis tournaments.
