"Trump Approves Ukraine's Use of Long-Range Missiles... Moscow Within Range"
U.S. Opposed to Use and Support of Long-Range Missiles Due to Escalation Risks
Growing Discontent Toward President Putin
Fox News reported on September 29 (local time) that U.S. President Donald Trump has effectively approved Ukraine's use of long-range missiles to strike targets within Russian territory.
Keith Kellogg, the U.S. special envoy for Ukraine, appeared on Fox News that day and was asked whether the Trump administration had authorized the Ukrainian government to conduct long-range strikes on specific targets inside Russia. He responded, "If you look at the statements made by the President, the Vice President, and the Secretary of State, the answer is 'yes.' They are telling Ukraine to use its deep-strike capabilities." Kellogg further stated, "There is no safe place (for the Russian side)."
He added that the U.S. is considering providing Ukraine with missiles capable of long-range precision strikes, and that President Trump will make the final decision on whether to provide Tomahawk missiles.
This suggests that President Trump is either allowing Ukraine to use long-range missiles for attacks on Russia or, at the very least, will not oppose it. Until now, the United States has opposed providing or allowing the use of long-range missiles to Ukraine, citing concerns about the potential for escalation.
Previously, Vice President JD Vance also appeared on Fox News and stated that the United States is considering whether to provide Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine. Vance said, "President Trump will make the decision." It is also known that during a meeting with President Trump on September 23, which took place while Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, was visiting the United States for the United Nations General Assembly, Zelensky requested support for Tomahawk missiles.

The Tomahawk cruise missile has a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, which means that if launched from Ukraine, it would be capable of reaching Moscow, the capital of Russia.
