National Railroad Authority Invites Private Proposals for Development of Unused Railroad Land in Hujeong, Uljin
The National Railroad Authority announced on September 29 that it will hold a public contest for private proposals to develop unused railroad land near Hujeong Beach in Uljin County, North Gyeongsang Province, in an effort to boost local tourism.
The development site covers 26,479 square meters in Hujeong-ri, Jukbyeon-myeon, Uljin County, North Gyeongsang Province. The area is favorably evaluated for tourism-linked development, as it is close to unique attractions such as the National Marine Science Museum and Jukbyeon Coastal Sky Rail.
The National Railroad Authority plans to invite business proposals from the private sector to create a resort facility that reflects the local characteristics of the development site and allows tourists to stay while visiting nearby attractions.
