Daejeon World Cup Stadium Parking Lot Extends Free Parking to 2 Hours
Daily Maximum Fee Reduced from 10,000 Won to 5,000 Won
Parking fees at Daejeon World Cup Stadium will be significantly relaxed, with the free parking period extended from the current 10 minutes to 2 hours.
Starting October 2, the city will expand the free parking period from 10 minutes to 2 hours and reduce the daily parking fee from 10,000 won to 5,000 won. However, on Hana Citizen home game days, only the hourly rate will apply.
Since August 2024, Daejeon City has implemented paid parking at the stadium to prevent long-term abandoned vehicles, parking congestion, and crime. However, due to ongoing citizen inconvenience, low usage, and an increase in illegal parking in nearby areas, there have been calls for improvements.
This measure aims to enhance parking convenience for citizens, increase the utilization of the stadium parking lot, and restore parking order.

Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "When parking was free, there was a concern about an increase in long-term parking and abandoned vehicles, potentially turning the area into a crime-prone zone. Moving forward, we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure citizens can use the parking lot without inconvenience, and if necessary, we will consider further fee reductions."
