Special Prosecutor Park Jiyoung stated at a briefing on the 25th, "Former President Yoon did not comply with the Special Prosecutor's request to appear yesterday," adding, "We delivered a second summons, requesting his appearance at 10 a.m. on September 30, directly through a correctional officer yesterday afternoon."
Regarding reports that former President Yoon’s side had expressed willingness to be questioned during a visit, Park said, "No such intention has ever been separately conveyed to the Special Prosecutor," and added, "No formal power of attorney has been submitted regarding the foreign exchange allegations, and we have not received any opinion regarding the summons for the 30th either."
Meanwhile, former Minister of Justice Park Sungjae, who was summoned the previous day as a suspect on charges of engaging in key duties related to insurrection, reportedly refused to sign the written statement after approximately 13 hours of questioning, claiming that parts of the statement did not accurately reflect the actual content of the investigation.

Since the investigation was conducted via video recording, we requested that the transcript, which contains the questions and answers as they were, be used as the official record instead. The Special Prosecutor’s Office accepted this request."
