Siheung City to Hold 'Urban Farmer Autumn Harvest Experience' from October 17 to 19
At the Wolgot-dong Public Urban Agriculture Farm
Exhibitions and Hands-on Activities Also Available
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the '2025 Urban Farmer Autumn Harvest Experience Event' for three days from October 17 to 19 at the public urban agriculture farm located at 955 Wolgot-dong.
This event has been organized to allow citizens to share the achievements they have made at the urban agriculture park during the harvest season.
To expand the base of urban agriculture, the city is currently operating three urban agriculture parks. At these parks, 785 households from 15 organizations are cultivating vegetable gardens.
The event will feature a variety of programs, including: ▲ rice and crop harvesting experiences ▲ traditional performances such as Gilnori and Dansimjulnori ▲ celebratory performances by professional teams ▲ a citizen harmony competition ▲ a children's music contest ▲ exhibitions and hands-on booths related to agriculture, folklore, and tradition.
Among these, the rice and crop harvesting experience will take place on October 18 and 19. The city will recruit participants on a first-come, first-served basis for families with children aged five or older, starting from September 26, through a QR code provided in the recruitment information section on the city’s website. The exhibition and hands-on programs are open to all without prior registration.
