Gyeonggi Province to Host "RE100 Village Story," Where Sunlight Becomes Income, on the 29th
Gyeonggi Province will host the "Gyeonggi RE100 Village Story" event on September 29 at the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, located on the third floor of Gwanggyo Gyeonggi Convergence Town in Suwon.
This event is designed to share exemplary cases of "Gyeonggi RE100 Villages," which have been established through the initiative of local residents, and to discuss the achievements and future vision for community-based energy transition.
Gyeonggi Province is developing two types of villages based on their implementation models: "Gyeonggi RE100 Self-sufficient Villages" and "Gyeonggi RE100 Opportunity Income Villages."
The event will begin with a promotional video featuring interviews with village residents. This will be followed by a presentation on the policy achievements led by Gyeonggi Province, as well as a direct presentation of the on-site operational experience and tangible outcomes from Machimi Village in Pocheon, which was selected as the best village at the July 2025 competition.
In addition, plaques will be awarded to five villages, including Ssangsong 1-ri in Hwaseong, Hojeong in Pyeongtaek, Eungol in Icheon, and Sodongsan Village in Anseong.
On the same day, Gyeonggi Province will also hold a communication meeting with residents on site.
