Big Mobility, Operator of 'Truck Helper', Secures 2.2 Billion Won Pre-A Investment Led by Smilegate Investment
Big Mobility Co., Ltd., which operates 'Truck Helper', the nation's first online and offline service dedicated to truck parking lots, announced on the 22nd that it has successfully secured 2.2 billion won (approximately 1.6 million USD) in a Pre-A round investment.
This investment round was led by Smilegate Investment, with Sopoong Ventures and Alois Ventures joining as new investors. Existing investor BonAngels Venture Partners also participated in a follow-up investment.
Big Mobility develops and operates commercial vehicle-only parking lots by utilizing idle urban land. Commercial vehicles include trucks, vans, and special-purpose vehicles used for business. Currently, the company operates 41 commercial vehicle parking lots nationwide, covering about 36,000 pyeong (the equivalent of 18 soccer fields). According to Big Mobility, nearly 1,000 trucks and buses across the country are parked at Truck Helper parking lots. The newly raised funds will be used to further enhance the service, expand nationwide, and secure top talent.
Truck Helper achieved breakeven just 16 months after its launch, following a seed investment from BonAngels Venture Partners immediately after its incorporation. The company is on track to turn a profit on an annual basis this year. Last year, it also won the Growth Track Grand Prize at the 'Chung Ju-yung Startup Competition', the largest startup contest in Korea.
Seo Daegyu, CEO of Big Mobility, said, "Truck Helper provides all the services needed by commercial vehicle owners, based on offline parking spaces. Big Mobility is gathering the best talent to drive innovation in the outdated domestic commercial vehicle market."
