The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) nations-including the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom-met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly high-level session in New York and reaffirmed their commitment to the principle of the complete denuclearization of North Korea.
In a joint statement released after their meeting on the 23rd (local time), the G7 foreign ministers said, "We reaffirm our determination for the complete denuclearization of North Korea and the immediate resolution of the abduction issue." They also expressed concern over Russia's recent violations of the airspace of Estonia, Poland, and Romania, stating, "This cannot be tolerated and poses a risk to the security of the international community."
Additionally, they emphasized "the urgency of alleviating the immense suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip through humanitarian assistance and the release of all hostages," and called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

In their statement, the G7 foreign ministers expressed support for the recent decision by the E3 (the United Kingdom, France, and Germany)-the signatories to the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement (JCPOA, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action)-to trigger the 'snapback' mechanism, which means the automatic reimposition of sanctions, in response to Iran's non-compliance with the agreement. They urged Iran to fully comply with its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and to resume full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), stressing that "Iran must engage in direct dialogue with the United States to conclude a comprehensive nuclear agreement."
