Kwon Ohseong, CEO of Hyundai Wia, emphasized that decisions should be made so that there is no hesitation in investing in core technologies for the future.
At the 'Townhall Meeting' held on the 23rd at the Uiwang Research Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province-his first such meeting since taking office in July-Kwon shared the company's future vision and growth direction with employees, making these remarks.

He particularly pointed out that competition in the fields of mobility components and robotics is becoming increasingly intense. He stressed that possessing "overwhelming technological capabilities" is the most important priority.
Kwon said, "I believe my background as a researcher is one of the reasons I joined Hyundai Wia," adding, "Hyundai Wia must demonstrate differentiated value from other parts manufacturers through technological innovation." He continued, "Based on a flexible organizational culture, I will ensure that every member can fully express their creativity."
He also highlighted the importance of growing as a "learning organization." Kwon stated, "A culture where all employees learn on their own must be established," and added, "I want Hyundai Wia to become a company that learns through various systems, including job training, education, open innovation, and in-house ventures."
He further emphasized that digital transformation (DX) utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) is essential. He said, "The development environment for automobiles is also shifting to focus on software," and noted, "We must utilize these technologies to make work in development, manufacturing, and support more efficient and systematic."
Kwon also called for the establishment of a voluntary fair trade compliance culture within the company. He said, "A culture of fair trade must become a core part of our corporate culture," and added, "In all work, we must consult with the dedicated fair trade department in advance and proactively manage legal compliance risks."
