Gumi City to Host "Chuseok at Gumi Station" from October 3 to 12
A Cultural Festival for Chuseok at Gumi Station
Enjoy Exhibitions, Markets, Hands-on Activities, and Performances
Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province and the Gumi Cultural Foundation (CEO Lee Hanseok) will host the "Chuseok at Gumi Station" event for ten days from October 3 to October 12 around Gumi Station. The event aims to create a festive holiday atmosphere for returning families and tourists visiting Gumi, while also widely promoting local culture and unique characteristics of the region.
On the third floor of Gumi Station, a special exhibition hall will feature the Hangawi Art Market, with 26 local artists participating. In addition to viewing the exhibition, visitors can enjoy interactive programs and guided tours with the artists.
In particular, on the opening day, October 3, Yulsan Lee Hongjae-renowned as a leading figure in contemporary Korean calligraphy and the founder of performance calligraphy-will present a special calligraphy performance.
Additionally, the Station Market will be held, featuring local handmade artists. Unique hands-on activities, such as macaron lettering and gemstone bracelet making, will be available for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
At the rear plaza of Gumi Station, a variety of busking performances-including jazz, Korean traditional music, and band music-will take place daily from 4 p.m., providing a wealth of entertainment for returning families and local residents.
