It focuses on nurturing critical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and a global perspective. The program has been introduced and is currently being operated by 12 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide.
This agreement aims to introduce the IB curriculum to local schools and establish a cooperative system for building a stable operating foundation. Through this, it is expected to overcome the limitations of rote learning, realize student-centered inquiry-based learning and the cultivation of creative thinking skills, and promote the development of global talents as well as qualitative improvement in public education.
The main contents of the agreement include: ▲ establishing and invigorating the foundation for operating the IB program; ▲ providing administrative support for the operation of the IB program; and ▲ other matters of mutual cooperation. Both institutions plan to use this agreement as an opportunity to lay the groundwork for IB education and to develop educational models tailored to the region's circumstances.
