View original imageU.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio announced on the 22nd (local time) that a trilateral foreign ministers’ meeting between the United States, South Korea, and Japan was held in New York, emphasizing that cooperation among the three countries is extremely important for peace and security in the Indo-Pacific region.
Secretary Rubio, who is visiting New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account that he had met with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and South Korean Foreign Minister Hyun Cho, and posted a photo of the three shaking hands.
Secretary Rubio further stated, "Our trilateral partnership is vital to advancing peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as developing economic and security cooperation."
