Hana Bank Launches "Hana EZ Multilingual Chat Consultation Service" to Enhance Convenience for Foreign Customers

Easing Inconvenience for Foreign Customers Caused by Language Barriers and Limited Business Hours
Hana Bank announced on September 23 that it is launching the "Hana EZ Multilingual Chat Consultation Service" through the Hana EZ App to address the inconveniences faced by foreign customers who experience difficulties with communication and visiting bank branches in person.
Previously, foreign customers often had to revisit branches due to incomplete documents, stemming from a lack of understanding of financial products or language barriers, even after visiting in person. This new multilingual chat consultation service has been introduced to resolve such inconveniences and to help customers better understand the full range of banking services.
The service will initially support nine languages and will be gradually expanded to cover a total of sixteen languages. Consultation is available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., covering major services such as deposits, savings, funds, mobile and internet banking, foreign exchange, loans, and retirement pensions. Through this, foreign customers can conveniently access banking services by checking necessary information or receiving guidance on required documents before signing up for products.
Notably, this service overcomes the limitations of automated response systems by employing real consultants who use multilingual translation solutions, rather than relying on a chatbot-based simple response method. As a result, foreign customers can receive more accurate and reliable consultations, and the efficiency of work processing is expected to improve significantly.
An official from Hana Bank’s Foreign Exchange Business Support Department stated, "Foreign customers have often experienced inconvenience in using financial services due to language barriers and limited business hours. With the Hana EZ Multilingual Chat Consultation Service, real consultants will use translation solutions to provide consultations in the customer's native language, allowing foreign customers to enjoy Hana Bank’s services more conveniently and securely."
