Samil PwC to Hold Seminar on "Changes in the Virtual Asset Market and Corporate Response Strategies"
Discussion on Response Strategies for the Allowance of Corporate Transactions and More
Samil PwC announced on September 23 that it will hold a seminar titled "Changes in the Virtual Asset Market and Corporate Response Strategies" at 2 p.m. on October 16 at the Amore Hall on the 2nd floor of its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
This virtual asset seminar is being organized by the Virtual Asset Professional Services Center, a group of virtual asset industry experts within Samil PwC, and follows previous seminars held since 2023. The event aims to explore trends in stablecoins and response strategies for the activation of corporate transactions.
The seminar will consist of six sessions. In the first session, Kim Gaprae, a research fellow at the Korea Capital Market Institute, will speak on "Domestic and International Legislative Trends and Challenges of Stablecoins." The second session will feature Seo Byungyoon, head of the Future Research Institute at DSRV Labs, who will discuss "Stablecoins and Their Impact on the Financial Market."
In the third session, Jennifer Kang, director at Samil PwC, will address "Overview and Importance of Compliance Programs (KYC & AML) Related to Virtual Asset Transactions." In the fourth session, Kang Kyungjin, executive director of the Korea Listed Companies Association, will present on "Preparations and Key Cases for Listed Companies Following the Allowance of Corporate Transactions."
The fifth session will feature Cho Jinseok, CEO of Korea Digital Asset (KODA), who will discuss "Considerations for the Safe Management of Corporate-Owned Virtual Assets." The final session will be led by Lee Jaehyuk, virtual asset industry leader (partner) at Samil PwC, who will present on "Strategies for Enhancing Internal Controls on Virtual Assets Following the Allowance of Corporate Transactions."
Lee stated, "As calls for regulatory improvements in the virtual asset industry continue to grow, we hope this seminar will help participants anticipate compliance requirements related to stablecoins and the allowance of corporate transactions, and gain insights to prepare for the future."
Applications to attend the seminar can be submitted through the Samil PwC website until October 10, and attendance details will be provided individually to those who pre-register.
