KT Micropayment Fraud Cases Under Investigation by Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency
It has been confirmed that suspect A, who posted a terror threat on the online community of Dongguk University, has turned himself in to the police and is currently under investigation.
An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated at a regular press briefing on September 22, 2025, "The person who posted the terror threat on the Dongguk University online community surrendered on September 12 and is being investigated without detention on charges of public intimidation."
Suspect A is accused of posting a message on the online community board on September 11, 2025, stating, "A terror attack is planned for the 16th, so do not gather," or words to that effect.

Meanwhile, the KT micropayment fraud cases that have occurred in some areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province are being handled by the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency reported that, so far, a total of 14 micropayment fraud cases have been transferred to the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency.
