The opening piece, Son Ilhun's "Fanfare," is a commissioned work for the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra. Son Ilhun focused on the note E from the "F-A-E" motif (Frei aber Einsam, meaning "Free but Lonely") that symbolized Brahms and his contemporaries. The piece is structured around keys not used in Brahms' Double Concerto and Symphony, and features a concentrated musical language through intuitive scales and harmonies within a short form. Lasting about 2 minutes and 30 seconds to 3 minutes, it encapsulates rising energy and momentum, with all instruments participating in this concert, including wind instruments, included in the orchestration, promising a rich sound.

Brahms' "Double Concerto for Violin and Cello," which follows, is his last orchestral work and conveys a deep sense of friendship and harmony.

Brahms' Symphony No. 4, to be performed in the second half, is regarded as the most intricate and philosophical of his symphonies. It is a work where classical form and romantic emotion are intricately blended. In particular, the variation form that unfolds in the final movement is considered a highlight that demonstrates Brahms' compositional mastery at its peak.
