Goryeong County Achieves Export Consultation Success in Singapore and Malaysia
Nine Companies Participate
Consultation Amount Reaches $36.11 Million
MOUs Signed Worth $6.78 Million
The overseas trade delegation from Goryeong County, led by Governor Namchul Lee, was dispatched to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from September 14 to 18 for a five-day, four-night schedule, where they held local export consultation sessions.
The delegation included nine companies: MS Food, Gateway Trading, Daelim Farms, Space Beer Company, Daegaya Food, Hightop, Samjeong Special Rubber, Jisan Tarpaulin, and Lubcam Korea. They showcased a diverse range of products, including food, tarpaulin, and rubber rolls.
During the two consultation sessions held in Singapore and Malaysia, a total of 77 consultations took place, amounting to 36,111,557 US dollars (approximately 49.7 billion Korean won). Of this, the value of MOUs signed between companies reached 6.78 million US dollars (about 930 million Korean won), marking tangible results.
Goryeong County also strengthened its local network and signed agreements during the visit. On September 15, the county signed a business agreement with the Singapore chapter of the World-OKTA (headed by Insu Hwang) to support local companies' market entry and expand exports of agricultural and food products. On the same day, agreements were also signed with SBCD F&B Group, a Korean cuisine restaurant group led by Kyungsoo Nam, and Korea Trading, headed by Deokchang Yoon.
Additionally, the delegation visited the KOTRA Singapore Trade Center to discuss cooperation measures. On September 17, they signed business agreements with the Malaysian Korean Chamber of Commerce (KOCHAM, chaired by Jaeyeol Noh) and KMT Group, a local food supply chain company led by Mateo Lee, establishing a foothold for entry into the Southeast Asian market.

Governor Namchul Lee stated, "Through this overseas trade delegation, our county's outstanding companies and products have once again proven their competitiveness in the global market, following last year's achievements. We will strengthen administrative support, including building overseas networks, to ensure that the delegation's activities lead to actual export contracts."
Namchul Lee, Goryeong County Governor, and other officials are conducting export consultations in Malaysia.
